 Karen Romero holds a Bachelor's of Music Education/Piano from Indiana University, and Masters of Music from William Paterson University. In addition, she studied voice at the Singer’s Forum with Andy Anselmo. She currently works as a vocal music teacher at the Roosevelt Intermediate School in Westfield, NJ, and has previously taught elementary and high school music. Her students have performed at Lincoln Center, NJPAC, All-State and Region Chorus, as well as with the world renowned Newark Boys Choir and Westfield Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to her work in the Westfield Public Schools, Karen has worked as music director, accompanist, performer and teaching artist for NJPAC, Singer’s Forum (NYC), Tada Theater (NYC), Intar Theater (NYC), Preakness Faith Community, Surflight Theater, RTG Productions, Hackensack High School, Walnut Hill School of the Performing Arts (Natick, MA), IU Opera Theater, Action Theater Conservatory, and the Writer’s Theater of NJ. She is mom to Elaina (3 years old) and Mikaela (2 years old). Karen is thrilled to join Yamaha and cannot wait until her kids are old enough to study music with the wonderful Yamaha Music Conservatory!
