Mr. Chris Keefe

Chris Keefe has taught piano to hundreds of students over the last twenty-five years. He was formerly on faculty at the Franklin School for the Performing Arts in Franklin, Massachusetts, the Old Town Conservatory of Music in Pasadena, California and the Music Conservatory of Westchester in White Plains, New York. He is also a Yamaha Music Education System trained teacher. His teaching methods include classical, jazz and popular styles of music. Chris has trained dozens of students for NYSSMA and ABRSM classical piano exams. Some of his students have gone on to major in music at schools such as Berklee College of Music and the

University of North Texas.

Chris has performed across North America in cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, New York, Boston and Calgary. He has performed at jazz festivals including Jazz at Banff Centre and the Lake Placid Institute. He has performed with notable jazz musicians including Joe LaBarbera, Darek Oles, Don Thompson, Antonio Sanchez and many more. Chris received his Bachelor of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and his Master of Music degree from Manhattan School of Music. His teachers have included Kenny Werner, Danilo Perez, Fred Hersch and Douglas Buys. His debut album as a leader is expected to be released in the winter of 2023.
